Matches of the third round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) football championship have begun.
In the first match of the tour, “Chornomorets” in Odesa narrowly defeated “Kolos” from Kovaliv – 1:0, reports Ukrinform.
Oleksiy Khoblenko, the home team’s forward, scored the only goal on the 35th minute.
At 18.00 Poltava “Vorskla” started the confrontation with Kyiv “Obolonya”.
On the second game day, August 17, Luhansk “Zorya” will play against “Olexandria” (1:00 p.m.), Zhytomyr “Polissya” – against “Ingulets” (3:30 p.m.), and Lviv “Karpaty” – against Kyiv “Dynamo” (6:00 p.m.).
On Sunday, August 18, the matches of “Veres” of Rivne with “Kryvbas” of Kryvyi Rih (3:30 p.m.), “LNZ” of Cherkasy with “Rukh” of Lviv (3:30 p.m.), “Livoy Bereh” of the capital with “Shakhtar” of Donetsk (6:00 p.m.) are scheduled.

The tournament table is headed by “Zorya”, which has two victories in the opening matches of the championship.
