2023-11-22 04:05:00

Sunday, November 19 at 4 p.m., around fifty people gathered at the Saint-Léonce church as part of the twinning between the commune and that of Sainte-Céronne-lès-Mortagne.

In the presence of the mayors of the two villages, the organ builder, Claude Berger, presented his work on repairing the church organ in the company of Henri Barthès, organist and historian. The latter goes back to the genesis of the instrument whose beginnings date back to 270 years before Jesus Christ. It was then Claude Berger who detailed its construction and operation, specifying the name of the pipes, the material, their destination, etc. A complete description, supported by the projection of a slideshow, was presented to the public, then the two speakers spoke regarding their careers before Louis Storez and Henri Barthès began the concert which focused on some pieces taken from the year liturgical work of Johann Sebastian Bach. The artists were very applauded at the end.
