A 25-year-old national citizen murdered her own two-year-old daughter in Luanda, suffocating her to death, for believing in the words of her aunt who gave her hopes of becoming rich if she killed her smaller.
According to the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), the person involved is in custody.
The person accused of the crime of qualified homicide due to the quality of the victim, her daughter, left her home, in the Golfe 2 neighborhood, in the company of the little girl who in life went by Maria de Nazaré Correia.
The destination of the itinerary was the municipality of Cacuaco, in the 22 de Janeiro area.
It was 4 pm last Wednesday, the 6th, when the mother went to Morro Santo located in that municipality, in order to seek blessings, for easy enrichment.
However, the fact that she did not return home led the minor’s father to announce the disappearance of her mother and daughter to her family.
Concerned regarding the situation, he went to the SIC-Cacuaco Picket, where he reported his daughter’s disappearance.
The operatives of this body, following carrying out criminal intelligence work, noticed the existence of a female corpse in a lagoon covered in rubbish, which, when verified, proved to be the corpse of a minor, whose cause of death appeared to be be due to drowning.
“Continuing with the investigations, and because the minor had abrasions around the neck region, three days later, it was possible to locate and arrest the victim’s mother, later determining that the accused, motivated by her aunt by beliefs in witchcraft, , in order to get rich easily, sacrificed his daughter, suffocating her to death.
To get rid of the body, I throw it into the lagoon”, he added. Therefore, SIC-Luanda advised youth to refrain from acts contrary to what life is regarding, not running or using dark paths for easy enrichment.
