City of Salzburg warns against illegal collection of bulky waste in Aigen and Liefering

Flyers are circulating in the Salzburg districts of Aigen and Liefering announcing a “house collection” for bulky waste on Maundy Thursday.

The Public Order Office points out that this collection has not been officially approved and is therefore illegal. Therefore, under no circumstances should bulky waste be placed in front of the front door.

The official justification: Experience has shown that the bulky waste provided is inspected, usable items are taken away, worthless “junk” is left lying around or is later disposed of in nature.

The waste service of the city of Salzburg offers a simple and inexpensive disposal of bulky waste. Waste and items that are no longer required can be disposed of easily and properly at the Maxglan recycling center (opening hours: Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
