MadridThe new document approved this Wednesday by the Interterritorial Health Council detailing the measures of de-escalation in nightlife and catering – mandatory throughout the state – has caused a clash between the Ministry of Health and some communities. The document was not approved unanimously: Catalonia, Galicia, Madrid, Andalusia and the Basque Country voted against it, while others abstained, such as Castilla y León. The Basque Country has refused to take part in the vote because it considers that the agreed guidelines invade regional powers. “These measures clash with those established by the Basque Country,” said health sources from the Basque government. Sources from the Department of Health of the Generalitat have spoken in the same direction: “The measures we take are those approved by the Procicat”.
