Clavero Mine: they fell more than 400 meters on a hang glider and were saved

Terror in the air. Two hang gliders fell from more than 400 meters following having an aircraft engine failure. The 49 and 56-year-old men, from Mina Clavero and Villa Cura Brochero, suffered minor injuries as a result of the emergency landing.

The pilot was able to maneuver the hang glider that was plummeting towards the ground and managed to descend in the Maythe neighborhood of the mountain town.

According to the aviator, the engine had failed in mid-flight, for which they proceeded to return to the Mina Clavero aerodrome. However, the wind once morest them played a trick on them and they fell on the open area.

Staff from Duar, ETAC and members of the San Alberto Departmental Police worked at the site. Both crew members were transferred to the Mina Clavero hospital for more complex studies.
