A few hours before Clemens Stammler’s political career came to an end, he was praised. Ulrike Fischer, chairwoman of the Committee for the Environment and Spatial Planning, thanked the National Council for its commitment to the “Green Report”, which deals with the situation in Austrian agriculture and forestry. Stammler, who has been a member of the National Council for the Greens since January 2020, also took the floor. There needs to be a rethinking of the federal states’ hunting laws in order to get game damage under control.
