The departure of Philip Zinckernagel from Club Brugge has caused a lot of ink to flow on the side of Standard.

This Thursday at a press conference, it was Aron Donnum who presented himself to the journalists. The Standard captain has spoken regarding the transfer of his former team-mate, Philip Zinckernagel, to Club Brugge.

“I think he should have stayed at Standard. But he will have his reasons and I respect them,” said the Norwegian at the microphone of the Newspaper.

Donnum made headlines when he reacted to Zinckernagel’s departure by giving him middle fingers in a comment on an Instagram post. He had the opportunity to explain himself regarding this message.

“It was a joke. More or less, because there was a meaning behind it,” said the Liège captain.
