Colin Stüssi won the 7th stage of the Tour of Portugal, between Torre de Moncorvo and Montalegre over 162 km. The Glaronais beat his three breakaway companions in the sprint and at the same time put on the leader’s jersey.
Stüssi (30) is a member of Pro Team Vorarlberg (Austria). In the general classification, the Swiss leads with a 28” lead over the Russian Artem Nych.
The greatest success of Stüssi’s career so far was a stage and overall victory in the Tour of Rhodes in 2017. He had already taken 2nd place in the 5th stage of this edition of the Tour of Portugal.
The race will end on Sunday with an 18 km time trial.
