Former First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Colonel-General Valery Manilov, has died at the age of 84. RBC with reference to Nikolai Deryabin, head of the apparatus of the Club of Military Leaders.

According to him, Manilov died following a serious illness. He has been in the hospital for the last four months. Deryabin said that, according to Manilov’s relatives, the disease was a complication following suffering a coronavirus.

The farewell ceremony will take place on July 3 at the military memorial cemetery in Mytishchi.
