Dr. Gamal Shaaban, a professor of cardiology and former dean of the Heart Institute, warned of the high rate of blood pressure patients in Egypt, as he said that 25% of adults suffer from this disease, which is a very worrying percentage.

Shaaban added, in a television interview with the media, Iman Abu Talib, that people who suffer from high blood pressure should receive the necessary treatment, as it represents a gateway to cardiovascular disease. Dr. Shaaban pointed out that most patients with high blood pressure do not know that they suffer from this disease, and they do not check it regularly. He advised to measure pressure continuously, and to identify symptoms and appropriate treatment.
