A sculpture in New York now commemorates the US rapper Notorious BIG, who was murdered in 1997. The approximately three meter high work called “Sky’s the Limit in the County of Kings” by artist Sherwin Banfield is located in the Brooklyn district. The rapper, whose real name is Christopher Wallace, is shown wearing a crown and facing Manhattan. Notorious BIG was considered one of the most important rappers of the 90s, whose work still influences many musicians today.
