Commercial operation begins at the third Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in Abu Dhabi

The Media Office of the Government of Abu Dhabi announced the commencement of commercial operation of the third Barakah Nuclear Power Plant.

An official statement stated that the third Barakah station adds up to 1,400 megawatts of carbon-free electricity to the state’s electricity grid.

The commercial operation of the third plant in Barakah was preceded by the start-up of the plant’s reactor following the operation teams succeeded in loading the nuclear fuel packages and completed this process faster than the second station by more than four months and faster than the first by more than five months.
