Four of the committee members even they will not return to Congress in 2023. They included his vice president, Rep. Liz Cheney, who lost the Republican primary in Wyoming; Virginia Democratic Rep. Elaine Luria, who lost in the November general election; and Reps. Adam Kinzinger, R-Illinois, and Stephanie Murphy, D-Fla., who chose not to run for re-election.
