Uruguay concerned regarding the health status of one of its figures
FC Barcelona’s 3-1 victory once morest Celta de Vigo was overshadowed by a tragic and surprising event. The Uruguayan central defender, Ronald Araújo, had to leave the Camp Nou in an ambulance at match time following a blow to the head with Gavi.
Everything seemed like a fortuitous clash and that the defense would continue to be in play, but moments later and following traveling a few meters, Araújo collapsed and fell unconscious to the pitch, for which he had to be evacuated to the Barcelona hospital.
“Araújo suffers a concussion and has been transferred to the hospital to carry out complementary tests”, Barça communicated minutes following the incident of the charrúa, who arrived at the hospital conscious.
The teammates realized the seriousness of the situation and immediately called for medical assistance, who did not hesitate to bring the ambulance onto the pitch in a very unusual scene at the Camp Nou.
