“Complementarity of scientific tools to assess the toxicity of industrial discharges” – White Paper

2023-07-20 09:32:51

Aqueous discharges from the surface treatment industry may contain metals in particular, even if the regulations in force are complied with. These discharges can be toxic for the environment, in particular living organisms, more particularly in the event of polycontamination. It is therefore essential to chemically determine the polluting load of a discharge from a qualitative and quantitative point of view, but also to assess its impact and its toxicity.

This white paper presents a complementary approach, combining chemical analysis and ecotoxicology, which provides a better characterization of polycontaminated industrial discharges and their toxic potential.
