Jeddah: The Organization of Islamic Corporation (OIC) has said that the immoral and illegal statement made by the occupying power Israel once morest the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, is an act of political blackmail once morest the UN and the Secretary General. The OIC pointed out that it can never be accepted. The statement was strongly condemned by the OIC.
The OIC noted that the UN Secretary-General’s speech at the Security Council was in line with his duties and responsibilities derived from international humanitarian law, the Charter and resolutions of the United Nations.
The OIC also expressed its deep appreciation to the Secretary-General for the role of United Nations agencies and their tireless efforts at all levels to stop the war crimes of the Israeli occupation once morest the Palestinian people and their lands and holy sites.
