Kapfenberg – After Graz and several other cities in Austria, Kapfenberg in Upper Styria is now also confronting its National Socialist past: a commission of historians investigated the naming of the stadium following former mayor Franz Fekete. It will be renamed on January 1, 2024 because of Fekete’s SS past. In addition, the street names and people with honors were checked. The results were presented at a press conference on Monday.
