Consumer advocates sue Verbund because of increased electricity prices – commercial law

On behalf of the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Association for Consumer Information (VKI) is taking a value retention clause in contracts from the association to court. The consumer advocates complain that the electricity producer advertises with the slogan “100% from Austrian hydropower”, but adjusted its prices at the beginning of May due to higher prices on a European energy exchange.
