Consumer Reminder: Beware of Contaminated Ready-Made Salads from Casino and Leclerc

2023-11-02 19:06:00

Beware of ready-made salads. Grated carrots, celery remoulade, mixed vegetables… Several recipes are the subject of a consumer reminder on the government website where the batches in question are specified.

These products were marketed, between October 27 and November 1, in stores Casino and the entire Casino distribution network throughout France. The reason for the recall is chemical contamination with a descaling product in the water.

Are concerned grated carrots sold in trays of 300 grams and 1 kg of the Casino brand, the same for the celery remoulade and the mixed vegetables in 300 gram trays.

You are asked to no longer consume these products, to return the product to the point of sale or to destroy it.

Also note that the salad bowls of tabboulehin 200 grams, from the Bio village brand and on sale at Leclerc, are also affected. The manufacturer indicates the risk of the presence of residual chemical contaminants (silicates) used for the treatment of drinking water and which may have been in contact with the product.
