In Turnhout prison, some 75 rebellious inmates who did not want to return inside following a walk were forcibly taken away one by one by the police. The intervention is controlled and calm, specifies the prison administration.
The inmates caused destruction and also reportedly started minor fires, but there were no injuries. Police, firefighters and emergency medical services rushed to the scene.
