Mumbai: The Bombay High Court’s Nagpur Bench Additional Judge Pushpa Ganediwala has resigned following a controversial order in the Poxo case. His resignation comes a day before his term as additional judge is due to end on Friday. He resigned due to non-continuation as Additional Judge or permanent appointment as a High Court Judge.

Pushpa Ganediwala’s controversial ruling that touching the outside of a garment, not directly on the body, cannot be considered sexual harassment. The Supreme Court later quashed the controversial order of the Bombay High Court. The Supreme Court collegium had decided not to uphold Judge Pushpa Ganediwala, who issued the controversial order.
