But this news does not delight everyone: the Brussels Minister Bernard Clerfayt (DEFI) reacted on X (ex-Twitter): “Seriously? ! Since 1986, it is expressly forbidden to organize a horse race on public roads on hard ground. He adds that it is necessary to “ensure and preserve the well-being of the horses concerned”.
An investigation is underway, according to the minister.
