Cork Airport Unveils Exciting New Routes for Summer 2025
Get ready for exciting new travel adventures! Cork Airport has announced a jam-packed summer 2025 schedule, featuring captivating destinations across Europe. From the charming vineyards of Bordeaux to the vibrant cultural scene of Bilbao, there’s something for everyone.
Bordeaux Beckons Wine Lovers
Starting in May, Aer Lingus will be whisking travelers away to Bordeaux, France, three times a week. This stunning southwestern city, renowned for its world-class wines, offers a truly enchanting experience. Visitors can indulge in tours and tastings at numerous vineyards and châteaux, explore the historic city center, or marvel at the gothic Cathédrale Saint-André, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from May 15 to September 13.
Immerse Yourself in the Basque Charm of Bilbao
Bilbao, the vibrant capital of Spain’s Basque Country, also joins the Cork Airport roster. Flights will run three times a week — Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays — from April 16 to September 14. Bilbao boasts a unique blend of modern architecture, rich history, and delicious cuisine. Don’t miss a chance to explore the iconic Guggenheim Museum, which has transformed the city’s landscape.
More Sunshine Getaways Await
“More opportunities to explore European culture” are in store for travelers, according to Reid Moody, Aer Lingus chief strategy and planning officer.
“These new routes form part of an exciting summer schedule” for Cork Airport, adds Tara Finn, head of aviation business development and communications.
Beyond its French and Spanish delights, Cork Airport will offer even more sunshine getaways in summer 2025. Direct flights to the Spanish isles of Lanzarote, Tenerife, and Palma de Mallorca promise idyllic escapes.
Five weekly flights to Palma will take to the skies starting May 1, while Lanzarote will see four weekly flights from March 30. Tenerife will complete the Spanish trio with three weekly flights – also from March 30.
