Coronavirus in Belgium: more than 1,200 people with coronavirus hospitalized in Belgium

Between November 29 and December 5, an average of 1,174 contaminations were recorded each day, up 21% compared to the previous seven days. During this period, more than 7,500 tests were carried out daily (+10%), of which 16.7% turned out to be positive.

The reproduction rate of the virus stands at 1.11. When it is greater than 1, this indicator means that the epidemic tends to accelerate. The incidence, which provides the number of new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, reached 130 over 14 days.
