Coronavirus in Peru: 948,081 infections and 35,549 deaths from COVID-19 are registered, according to Minsa

The number of people affected by the new coronavirus in Peru continues to increase. To date, the total of diagnoses for this cause is 948,081. In the last 24 hours alone, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) counted 816 cases, and added 1,994 more than the update for the previous seven days.

Regrettably, the number of deaths increased to 35,549, and 65 lives were lost in just one day. This is complicated by the current situation of the health system, which is saturated due to the increase in patients with COVID-19.

On the other hand, there are currently 4,414 people hospitalized for the virus, of which 969 are in the Intensive care unit (ICU). The good news is that 876,399 recovered and were discharged.
