AIVAM (Association of Vehicle Importers in Morocco) has just launched the 5th edition of COTY Morocco (Car Of The Year). Morocco’s “Car of the Year 2024” will be revealed on January 23.
Made up of 12 members (journalists and experts specializing in automobiles), the jury for this edition selected 7 finalists among the 14 new products lined up on the “grid”, then proceeded with a second skimming to determine the successor to the Kia Sportage, crowned in 2023.
This year, there are 14 new products – none being a restyled model – from 9 different brands, introduced on the Moroccan market in 2023, which are in the running to succeed the Kia Sportage, crowned in 2023, the Citroën C4 (2022), the Ford Kuga (2021) and the Volvo S60, awarded in the first edition.
Note, moreover, the presence of six Chinese candidates (compared to five Europeans, two Koreans and one Japanese), but also that of four “zero exhaust emission” models, the BYD Atto 3, Dacia Spring, Geely Geometry C and MG 4.
