Councilor for Culture Veronica Kaup-Hasler on the death of Margherita Spiluttini | PID press

Vienna (OTS) “Margherita Spiluttini made her discipline shine because she translated her fascination for architecture into light images that enabled viewers to empathize with this passion for the enclosed space. This precise, attentive and knowledgeable view enabled her to translate the three-dimensional, which can be experienced with several senses, into two-dimensionality,” said Vienna’s City Councilor for Culture, Veronica Kaup-Hasler, in recognition of the photographer. “With Margherita Spiluttini’s death, Europe has lost one of the most important architectural photographers; thanks to her extensive photographic work, her eye-training gaze will also be accessible to future generations. My sincere condolences to her family, friends and companions.

Margherita Spiluttini has received numerous Austrian and international awards for her work, including the City of Vienna Prize for Fine Arts in 1997.
