The Central Bank of Bahrain announced Covering Issue No. 1979 (ISIN BH000U653894), of the monthly government treasury bills issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The value of this issuance is BD 35 million for a maturity period of 182 days, starting on August 27, 2023, and ending on February 25, 2024.
The interest rate on these bills was 6.49% compared to the interest rate of 6.43% for the previous issue on July 30, 2023, while the discount rate was 96.835%, and the lowest participation price was accepted at 96.818%, noting that the issue was covered by 183%.
The outstanding balance of treasury bills with this issuance amounted to BD 2.110 billion.
