COVID-19 in Florida: Fewer new cases, but higher increase in deaths in two months

Florida reported case and death data for the holiday weekend on Tuesday, with 111,621 new cases over three days. The daily counts are some of the lowest since Christmas, and the 7-day average of new cases fell to 49,537, the lowest level since New Year’s Eve. The count does not include those who tested positive using home testing kits.
