Beijing ∙ Due to the resurgence of covid, strict restrictions have been imposed in China. Lockdown is a similar situation in many provinces. It is advised to stay at home as much as possible and get tested daily.
25,000 Covid cases were reported across the continent yesterday. 515 cases in capital city Beijing alone. Business establishments including restaurants were closed here.
The authorities have advised the people of Chaoyang district, where Covid is the most severe, to stay at home till the weekend. In case of leaving the city, the inspection report must be submitted within 48 hours.
Earlier this month, China announced relaxations in much-criticized Covid restrictions. The suspension of international flight services was avoided if passengers reported Covid-19. Quarantine period for international travelers has been reduced from 10 days to 8 days. In the new situation, the restrictions may be strengthened once more.
