Kochi: The crime branch has moved to record the statement of Dileep’s lawyer Advocate B Raman Pillai. Raman Pillai’s statement is in the case of trying to influence the witnesses in the case of attacking the actress. The probe team wrote a letter to Raman Pillai regarding this. However, B. Raman Pillai replied in writing to the Crime Branch that he might not give a statement in the forgery case.
The Peechi police in Thrissur had earlier registered a case once morest him for trying to influence witnesses in the case. This is currently being investigated by the Crime Branch team. It was this group that wrote a letter to B. Raman Pillai asking him to testify in connection with the case.
Meanwhile, advocates in the high court came out once morest the crime branch action. The Executive Committee of the High Court Bar Association strongly objected to the Crime Branch decision. The association said lawyers would protest once morest the move in the high court tomorrow. The lawyers decided to face the action legally.
