WHO Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote in a post on the X platform that the organization is still unable to communicate with its staff nor with health facilities in Gaza.

The organization expressed particular concern for “patients, medical staff, and thousands of families who have taken refuge in Al-Shifa Hospital and other health facilities.”

For her part, Catherine Russell, Executive Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), said that the organization is no longer able to communicate with its employees in Gaza.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said that it had completely lost all communications with its operations room in Gaza as well as its teams working there, while the Hamas-run government in the Strip announced that rescue teams might not receive emergency communications.
