A woman in her 40s is in critical condition following being run over late Sunday followingnoon by a De Lijn public transport company bus in Ghent, police confirmed.
“The firefighters had to extricate her,” explains Dirk De Sutter, spokesperson for the Ghent police zone. The victim, whose life prognosis is engaged, was immediately transported to the hospital. The East Flanders public prosecutor’s office has appointed an expert to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
