2023-09-20 14:28:54

Along with the French police, the Vlas police zone (Courtrai, Kuurne, Lendelede) carried out a major control operation on Tuesday morning in the stations of Kortrijk and Tourcoing (France). More than a thousand passengers coming from France or major Belgian cities were checked.

Nine of them were in possession of drugs, mainly cannabis and hashish. Furthermore, the anti-drug dog reacted on 41 occasions towards people who had taken drugs or had them in their pocket.

One traveler was found to be staying illegally and another received a citation for disturbing public order.

“The collaboration between our police officers and those of France certainly constitutes added value. Everyone’s skills and experiences were able to be exchanged. It was a successful action,” communicates the Vlas police zone.
