Canmore – Styrian Mika Vermeulen has crowned his strong form among the cross-country skiing elite with his first World Cup podium finish. The 24-year-old came third in Canmore over 15 km skating with mass start following an extremely active race design behind the Norwegians Simen Hegstad Krüger and Harald Östberg Amundsen. Vermeulen was only half a second behind overall World Cup leader Amundsen. Before that, Teresa Stadlober had done brilliantly in the women’s race, finishing sixth.
