While the launch of Gunfire Games’ sequel, Remnant II, was very impressive, at least dwarfing what Remnant: From the Ashes achieved on PC, the game lacked cross-platform play at launch. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like this feature will always be missed, as game director David Adams revealed in a Reddit AMA that Gunfire is currently bringing cross-play to Remnant II. Specifically, Adams said: “Yes, we’re working on it. There are issues with the different platforms and their requirements to allow cross-play, but it’s actively being worked on. Essentially, it’s expected that Remnant II will one day support cross-play. Platformer, but there doesn’t appear to be a timeline as to exactly when that day will feature its debut in the sequel. During the AMA, Adams also confirmed that more prototypes are planned to roll off the line as DLC, with the Ping Pong Gun being his most favorite weapon, and “has a lot planned and planned for the franchise,” but Gunfire is currently focused on building and enhancing the current game.
