By e-mail, the ministry underlined that the living expenses incurred by an escort accompanying a patient during his transport can be reimbursed, when the state of health of the patient requires the presence of such an escort during the trip.
Financial assistance may be granted up to a maximum of $250 for the same trip. The ministry took steps with the mother. For her part, the woman is still awaiting confirmation from the government.
