The CBI and the Enforcement Directorate arrested the gang leader Lakshya Vij and his accomplices in raids in several cities. An American woman was tricked into creating a new cryptocurrency account into which $400,000 was transferred from her bank account.
The American woman told Indian investigators that she was told by Lakshya Vij that her money would be invested in several companies and would earn extraordinary returns. Four lakh dollars is equivalent to 11 crore 12 lakh rupees in Pakistani currency.
