Women in Games Argentina conducted an experiment to show how men treat girls in Valortant matchmaking. To do this, professional players held several matches, communicating with teammates in a female voice – the effect was achieved using a special program.
As shown in the video with the results of the experiment, ordinary gamers constantly insulted cybersportsmen and did not listen to them when they tried to coordinate the actions of their team. As professional players themselves noted, this attitude greatly affected their results in matches: under such pressure, they might not focus on individual performance, and teammates refused to work with them together.
Earlier, the female roster of the Rising Hope eSports organization for Valorant left the club along with the head coach due to inappropriate behavior and constant sexual harassment by another mentor, Vladislav Simons Mineev. The latter, according to the victims, not only several times asked his colleague to “show him your penis”, but he himself once demonstrated girls and other team members their sexual organ.
