Czernohorszky: Federal government must end undignified spectacle surrounding climate plan | PID Press

Vienna (OTS) Vienna’s Climate City Councilor Jürgen Czernohorszky sharply criticizes the dispute in the federal government surrounding the National Energy and Climate Plan: “The federal government is taking the population hostage for its power play surrounding the climate plan. It risks fines running into millions, which taxpayers would ultimately have to pay for. I appeal to the ÖVP and the Greens to return to seriousness and end the undignified spectacle.”

Czernohorszky continued: “Especially now, when the whole world is looking at the climate conference, it is particularly damaging when the federal government exposes Austria to ridicule in the European Union. We need determination in the fight once morest the climate crisis on a global level and not petty skirmishes at Ballhausplatz.”
