The American esports organization M80 announced the addition of Russian tennis player and current third racket of the world Daniil Medvedev to the company. The athlete became one of the owners of the club.
This is not the first time that representatives of the sports industry have entered the esports market. Previously, ex-Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero opened his organization KRU Esports, and former Real Madrid player David Beckham invested in Guild Esports.
M80 was created at the end of 2022. At the time of publication of the material, the organization has teams for Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, Rocket League and Rainbow Six: Siege, the club is also represented by a Street Fighter player.
