Danish Vestas shares jump more than 7.5% thanks to profits

Shares of Danish company Vestas, the world’s largest wind turbine manufacturer, listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, jumped by more than 7.4 percent during Wednesday’s trading.

What is the reason for this increase?

Earnings that global financial services company Jefferies described as “significantly advanced” during the third quarter, which amounted to 70 million euros versus expectations of 31 million euros, pushed Vestas shares higher on Wednesday.

In addition, stocks received support thanks to a report by JP Morgan, which said that “the absence of major negative surprises in the third quarter is reassuring,” noting that Vestas stock was among the best-performing stocks on the European STOXX 600 index.
