Streamer Darren iShowSpeed Watkins Jr.’s Twitch channel has been unbanned 665 days following being banned. Information regarding this appeared on Twitter Streamer Bans.
IShowSpeed was banned from broadcasting on the platform in December 2021 following he suffered an outburst of uncontrollable anger while broadcasting with Adin Ross. Afterwards he went to YouTube, where he became one of the most popular content creators. Throughout the ban period, fans and colleagues of Watkins Jr. called on the Twitch administration to unblock his channel, but this did not happen until October 11.
Neither the Twitch administration nor iShowSpeed said what caused the streamer to be unbanned. Viewers suggested that the platform’s management kept its promise regarding permanent bans – Twitch’s CEO had previously stated that the service was ready to give a second chance to permanently banned streamers, and management was looking for a mechanism that would allow them to return to Twitch.
