As you’re probably well aware, DC is currently rebooting their cinematic universe, which will begin in 2025 under the leadership of James Gunn. This ends the current universe and is expected to impact video games as well.

This might mean that the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be the last game in the Arkham universe, which was previously launched by Rocksteady Studios in 2009 with Batman: Arkham Asylum.When a Threads user asked Gunn regarding this, he replied: “No plan to be the last!” — but later apparently changed his mind and deleted the post.
By then, another user on X had taken a screenshot of the conversation. If this means Gunn has inadvertently confirmed another game in the Arkham universe, then it’s up for debate, but at least it seems reasonable that we can expect more games in this universe in the future.
