He will not see his last essay “The dual nature of the book – Four decades of changes in the book chain” coming out in bookstores on October 6th. François Gèze, founder of Editions La Découverte, died on Monday. He was 75 years old.
Born in Morocco, tossed from France to Germany according to the changes of a military father, he was a specialist maths intern in Toulouse in May 68. It was from this revolt that he considered borrowed from “fraternity and generosity” that her activism was born.
