Burned cars, looted shops, vandalized schools and town halls… Faced with the violence affecting many cities in France following the death of young Nahel, killed by a police officer on June 27, insurers are on the front line.

The Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire asked them on Saturday “to show the greatest simplicity in the treatment of the procedures” of compensation which “must arrive as quickly as possible” for the traders and professionals who are victims of the riots. He also urges insurers to “reduce deductibles as much as possible”, that is to say the rest to be borne by their customers.
