Thiruvananthapuram ∙ Chief Minister’s reply in the Legislative Assembly that no case was filed in the case of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s relative threatening to kill a journalist in Kannur because of threats made through WhatsApp.

The reply says that when the complaint received regarding the threat was investigated, it was found that the police cannot directly register a case for the matter of threatening through WhatsApp. The reply also states that the complainant was informed that further action can be taken in this regard only on the basis of the court order.

The Chief Minister replied on June 27 but the document is coming out now.
