The Russian government has approved a new method of dealing with non-payers for housing and communal services – their debts will be divided among neighbors. They will have to pay a person’s debt for common house needs.

Now the final payer for common house needs is the management company. She fights tenant debt, false readings, excess spending, and illegal tie-ins.

The new debt repayment procedure is described in a government decree. But it will come into effect on January 1, 2023.

Formerly KazanFirst wrotethat the debts of the inhabitants of Tatarstan for housing and communal services amounted to 8.7 billion rubles.
