Wolfsburg – Defending champions RB Leipzig were eliminated from the DFB Cup in the second round. The cup winners of the last two years suffered a 1-0 defeat at VfL Wolfsburg on Tuesday and thus experienced their first major disappointment of the current season. Vaclav Cerny (14th) scored the winning goal for Lower Saxony, where Pavao Pervan was in goal and Patrick Wimmer was missing due to injury.
